With regard to my office I have a service provider – a phone and/or internet provider – I don’t remember.. 😉
Well, the bills were rising – I didn’t understand why – so I phoned them.
Touch-tone hell: 38 (or something like that) possibilities for choosing which departmant to talk to – thereafter a few voice announcements which told me: “Now listen – frankly – you don’t have to call us – go into our website and find the answer to your question – thanks!”. OK – I may be exaggerating a little here – actually they weren’t that much rude 😉
Thereafter again about 38 touch-tone hell possibilities..
AT LAST – I almost, did hit my target: I found the touch-tone choice “Do you want to stop being a customer?” – YES!!!!!
The respons came immediately – the phone was disconnected! (Humor..)
Well, well – I phoned them again – however, with a slightly different strategy this time:
I simply targeted their SALES department (which was very easy to find in their touch-tone jungle 😉 ) – and in a very short time – a VERY nice speaking lady offered herself to serve my needs – I wanted to BUY something??????
AND THAT’S how to keep customers – or let’s say.. Is it?
They have got a few words in writing 😉
